EM Team win inaugural World Sepsis Day SIM event at Sligo University Hospital

In order to mark World Sepsis Day on September 13th, 4 teams of hospital clinicians battled it out on a Simulated Sepsis scenario.

There was a panel of esteemed clinicians from other specialties to judge the event.

All teams did very well in what was a highly pressurised environment.

Congratulations to the winning team of Meadhbh, Emma, and Sinéad who won the coveted prize for the Emergency Department.

Medical Students attended an afternoon in training on sports-related pre-hospital emergencies.

Extraction techniques, spinal immobilisation and transfer, and airway management were covered.
